(FYI: In this review I use whitening/brightening/lightening synonymously.)

The plastic packaging:
[ Height: 9.5cm | Base Width: 3.7cm ]
Scent: It smells fresh and floral ^^
Color: The product itself is a light green. When spread out on the skin, it gives a slight whitening effect. More on this in the Coverage section, but here are some swatches:
As you can see, it's hardly noticeable on fair skin after thorough blending. It shows up better on my hands, though!
(Hover over the image.)
It’s not quite WATERY, but it's still a little runny and thin for a base. It’ll drip out of the tube on its own, so I have to store it upright to prevent making a mess when I open it.
It’s best to show you with a video! Note that in the beginning of the video, I didn’t squeeze the tube at all. Watch in HD! >.<
Comparison with another green base:
Here’s a texture comparison with another green base I have, The Face Shop Me:ex Makeup Base. Now, The Face Shop is a bit thicker and pastier. It doesn't blend as thinly, and hence, evenly.
Here, you can see from the shine that It’s Skin is indeed much runnier, thinner, and moisturizing than The Face Shop:
On the left picture, do you see how It's Skin splits right in the middle? That shows how much runnier (and less cohesive) it is in comparison to The Face Shop.
It feels moisturizing! When I blend, my fingers feel as though are gliding across my face. My skin is slightly sticky afterwards. It almost feels a little…oily. (see Oil Control)
Given it’s thin formula, the coverage is sheer. In short, it does little except to give a subtle, overall brightening effect.
Big pictures, so you can see the texture of it applied~
In these swatches I’ve used one layer. The whitening/brightening effect *is* buildable, but so is the oiliness that you get from it (see Oil Control).
I’ve slightly dry skin, so don’t normally need to powder my cheeks. But with this base, I need to. Within 3 or 4 hours, my makeup begins to melt. It’s not obvious if I don’t touch my face. But if I scratch an itch, however gentle I am, it leaves an obvious streak. Back when my skin was oilier, I could easily wipe my face clean with a napkin whilst wearing this base.
Here's another comparison with The Face Shop:
Notice the difference in oil!
Because of the sheer coverage, it hardly makes a difference in the vibrancy of my BB Cream (in terms of canceling color to create a clean slate for BB Cream.)
I think this product is best suited for dry skin. It doesn’t conceal much, but it does provide a very natural brightening effect. I think of it more as a brightening moisturizer! Personally, it’s too subtle for me...but I imagine it’d be perfect for a minimal makeup, natural beauty, or even lazy day look!
Lots of love to Koreadepart for giving me the opportunity to try something from a brand that I am less acquainted with myself! If you haven't already, check out Koreadepart to oogle at their mountain of Korean products!
